I just completed my second book in the Bumbino series, Bumbino Loses His Best Friend. COMING SOON!

When we lost Michael, I put together a coffee group for dads who lost children. It turned out to be a blessing because it gave the dads a place to share their emotions without feeling embarrassed to express themselves. We’ve become a bond of brothers who look forward to our monthly meeting for support at Brighter Days Grief Center.

The Founder of the center, Carolyn Kinzel, encouraged me to do a grief book for children using Bumbino. My first response was that I didn’t think that I would be able to handle it. She gave me a couple of children’s books to look at and when I was done, God put it on my heart to take the challenge.

Needless to say, the illustrations and the words came flowing out and I knew God’s hand was on it. So, I found a publisher and sent him all my illustrations and it will be published in March 2020. You don’t have to be on this journey to get this book, but you might know a family who is. Prayerfully, I’m hoping this book will help children to deal with grief in a positive light. If nothing else, this story is about love, hope and encouragement and, of course, friendship.

Half of the proceeds from Bumbino Loses His Best Friend will go to Brighter Days Grief Center to support their heartfelt kindness to help children and families.
